Blue Mountains Section: Ice Storm Repair Update and Reopened Sections (April 24, 2025)

The Blue Mountains Club has re-opened roughly 60% of the main Bruce Trail in the section in eight stretches.

Main Bruce Trail is now open in the following areas:
(km references from The Bruce Trail Reference, Edition 31)

km 0.0 to 1.0:
Lavender (Mulmur Nottawasaga Townline) to end of Concession 8.

km 5.1 to 22.5:
Concession 10 South Nottawasaga/Garden of Eden Rd to western junction with Betty Carter Side Trail in Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area

km 28.5 to 32.1:
Western junction with Mad River Side Trail to Concession 10 South Nottwasaga (north of County Road 124)

km 36.0 to 38.0:
County Road 91, ~1 km in either direction

km 41.3 to 42.5:
Eastern junction with Singhampton Side Trail in Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Nature Reserve to roadside parking at Osprey Clearview Townline

km 46.1 to 48.0:
Blue Mountains Clearview Townline to eastern junction with Pretty River Side Trail (in Pretty River Provincial Park)

km 52.6 to 61.5:
6th Sideroad to 12th Sideroad

km 64.3 to 66.0:
County Rd 119 to where Main Trail leaves Swiss Meadow Blvd.

Most Side Trails are closed until further notice.
The only Side Trails currently open are:
– Walker Aggregates Side Trail (Map 22)
– Betty Carter Side Trail (Map 22)
– Pretty River Side Trail (Map 23)

Note: Annual Winter Closures remain in effect at:
Scenic Caves km 61.5 to 64.3
Devil’s Glen km 26.0 to 28.5
– Petun Side Trail
