Map 9 – Iroquoia – Controlled Burn at Fisher’s Pond Nature Reserve, Temporary Closure – LIFTED

All trails within BTC’s Fisher’s Pond Nature Reserve will be closed for a single day, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, due to a controlled burn taking place on the property to improve grassland habitat.
There will be no access to the property, including Fisher’s Pond Side Trail and the main Bruce Trail between Springer Crescent and Guelph Line on the day of the burn. Staff and/or volunteers will be stationed at access points on the day of the controlled burn to inform hikers of the trail closure.
Smoke may persist in the area for up to 48 hours after the burn.
