Map 41 – Peninsula – Upper Andrew Lake to High Dump, temporary closure – LIFTED

UPDATE, Aug. 17, 2026
The main Bruce Trail between Upper Andrew Lake and High Dump in Bruce Peninsula National Park has been reopened.

Originally closed due to substantial flooding and a damaged bridge, the section is now reopen for hiking, thanks to collaboration between Peninsula Bruce Trail Club volunteers, Bruce Peninsula Snowmobile Club, and Bruce Peninsula National Park staff.

Aug. 20: This reopening has been updated in the Explore (map) section of the Bruce Trail App.

This section of Bruce Trail remains closed until further notice. Repairs are being led by Parks Canada.

(Note for End-to-Enders: When a section of the Bruce Trail is temporarily closed, and no reroute is available, End-to-End hikers are still eligible for their End-to-End badge and recognition. Simply note the closure in your hike log when submitting it to the Club or the BTC. If the opportunity arises later for you to return and complete that section when it reopens, you may, but it is not required.)

In Bruce Peninsula National Park, the Bruce Trail between Upper Andrew Lake and High Dump Side Trail is temporarily closed until further notice. Flooding and a damaged bridge have made the trail impassable.
