Map 37 – Peninsula – Brock St reroute and staircase construction – LIFTED

UPDATE, May 23, 2025: Construction of the new staircase is complete and the trail has reopened.

Huge thanks to the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club Trail Development & Maintenance volunteers who coordinated and constructed the new staircase, and blazed and cleared the temporary reroute.

ORIGINAL POST, April 8, 2025:
Ladders on the main Bruce Trail at the end of Brock St in Hope Bay are being replaced this spring.

Construction of a staircase will begin May 12, 2025. A short, temporary reroute (interim bypass) will be in place until construction is complete.

Interim bypass length: 1.4 km
