Map 25 – Beaver Valley – Sheryl and Jim Phillips Easement, reroute

Following the securement of the Sheryl & Jim Phillips Easement earlier this summer, the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club has rerouted the main Bruce Trail between County Rd 19 and 12th Sideroad onto the property for a scenic 800 metres. This new route adds 460 metres to the length of the Mail Trail in this area.
This easement is the result of a creative partnership with Ontario Farmland Trust (OFT). The Phillips family generously donated an easement to OFT to protect farmland and included a trail easement for the Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC). BTC staff enjoyed working with OFT staff on this mutually beneficial initiative and look forward to similar collaborations in the future.
