The Glendale Avenue Bridge (Bridge 5) in St Catharines is closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic to complete a communication systems upgrade on the following dates:
March 9-13, 2026 (8 am – 5 pm)
There is no re-route option for the Bruce Trail.

The Glendale Avenue Bridge (Bridge 5) in St Catharines is closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic to complete inspection and maintenance work on the following dates:
Monday, October 27 to Thursday, October 30, 2025 (8 am – 5 pm daily)
Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 14, 2025 (24 hours/day)
There is no re-route option for the Bruce Trail.

The Bruce Trail over the Glendale Avenue bridge in St. Catharines is closed due to the unexpected repair work on Glendale lift bridge over the Welland Canal.
There is no re-route option for the Bruce Trail.
Please refrain from hiking this section until repair work is complete. Estimated date of completion is May 12th.
