Beth Gilhespy has worked in the field of environmental conservation for more than 30 years. She is currently CEO of the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy, an organization that preserves sensitive and vulnerable land in Ontario. Between 2004 and 2019, she was CEO of the Bruce Trail Conservancy, and between 2019 and 2024 she was Executive Director of the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy. Beth is an avid explorer and frequently hikes in the Canadian Rockies, on long distance paths in the UK and locally throughout Ontario. She holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in physical geography and geology from the University of Guelph. She lives in Guelph, Ontario, with her husband, two dogs.
