The Bruce Trail Conservancy is hosting an online auction from December 9-13, 2024. All proceeds go towards the Bruce Trail Conservancy’s Trail Development & Maintenance (TD&M) Endowment Fund 1182 & 1183 and will be matched by an anonymous donor!
When you bid in our online auction, you’ll be helping to make long-term vital investments in the Bruce Trail experience. From constructing bridges and boardwalks to supporting maintenance activities like addressing erosion control and tree health monitoring, your contribution will directly impact the Trail’s accessibility and sustainability.
Auction items include:
- Scotland Slowly Expedition from Adventure Canada
- A two-night stay at Azure Cottage in Tobermory
- Baffin Hiking Boots
- Taste Testing with the Brew Master of Paris Brewery at Cape Chin
- Gift certificates to your favourite restaurants and accommodations along the Trail

Terms & Conditions
The online auction runs from Monday, December 9, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. (EST) to Friday, December 13, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. (inclusively, the “Auction Period”). The auction is hosted by Charity Auctions Today.
How to Bid
- Create or log in to your personal Charity Auctions Today account.
- You can bid on an item in the auction by entering your bid amount in the listing. Only bid on items you intend to buy. Bids cannot be retracted. If you win, you must pay the winning bid. When the auction is over the highest bidder wins the item.

Rules about bidding and paying
- You cannot use Charity Auctions Today if your account contains false contact information.
- You must pay for any item you commit to buying. Each bid you make is a binding contract to buy the item if you win.
- Make sure that you read the listing description before you bid.
- Charity Auctions Today’s 5% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final winning bid amount to help offset the costs of administering the auction platform
- The winner must be of the age of majority in their respective province of residence, and is responsible for obtaining all required necessary travel documentation, if any are required. The winner must produce proof of adequate travel insurance as defined by the tour operator as required.
- All items are final sale; no alternatives, exchanges or refunds provided. The auction items must be accepted as awarded. The Bruce Trail Conservancy makes no express or implied warranties of any kind with respect to safety or performance of the auction items.
- Items must be paid in full at the closing of the auction.
The following individuals are not eligible to bid on auction items:
- Employees and Board members of the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
- Members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling) of the individuals listed above.
By entering this auction, each bidder absolves the Bruce Trail Conservancy and their respective officers, The Bruce Trail Conservancy Board of Directors, employees and their respective advertising and promotional agencies, agents, representatives, and contractors from any and all liability for any harm he/she/they may suffer as a result of participation in the auction.
The Bruce Trail Conservancy is not liable for any bids which are lost, or late for any reason whatsoever or for: faulty computer components, software or links; the loss or non-existence of communications capability; faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions; any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, facilities or computer equipment or software; any failure of (or delay in) any e-mail or other electronic transmission to be received or sent by bidder that delay entry, result in a null bid or otherwise render a bidder ineligible for this auction; or any combination of the foregoing.
The Bruce Trail Conservancy reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate this auction, including, without limitation, the selection of the winning bid, at its sole discretion, for any reason, including, without limitation, in the event a computer virus or bug, unauthorized human intervention, or any other occurrence beyond its control corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, impartiality, or intended operation of this auction.
This auction is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
Payment
Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted forms of payment.
Item Pickup
Winning bidders of gift certificates and vouchers/passes will receive their prizes digitally. Winners of physical items may pick them up Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 55 Head St., Unit 101, Dundas, ON L9H 3H8. Item(s) must be picked up by 4:00 p.m. on December 23, 2024. Pickup items will not be released to anyone other than the winning bidder without prior authorization and consent.
