Financial Data Entry Clerk – 12 Month Contract

Job Position: Financial Data Entry Clerk
Organization: The Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC)
Location: 55 Head St, Suite 101, Dundas, Ontario

Targeted Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: 12 months
Hours: Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in the BTC Office
Salary Range: $49,000 to $55,000 based on experience

The Bruce Trail Conservancy is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual who has great numeracy and data entry skills. Reporting to the Accountant, and a valued member of the Finance Team, this position is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing monies for the organization, ensuring an accurate recording of funds.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all data from online sales of products and memberships
  • Process all online donations, third-party donations and monthly donations
  • Prepare tax receipts for memberships and donations as needed for transactions not electronically receipted
  • Prepare weekly bank deposits  
  • Record accounts payable invoices into Sage  
  • Create monthly petty cash reports 
  • Cover the front desk for lunches, illness and vacation. Duties include answering the phones, helping any walk-in customers, overseeing volunteers fulfilling online sales, and responding to emails 

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in an open-plan office environment
  • High familiarity with MS Office products
  • Experience working with Raiser’s Edge would be an asset
  • Experience working in an online retail environment would be an asset
  • Some knowledge of the Bruce Trail
