2024 Youth Council Scavenger Hunt

Get outside this spring and look for wildflowers, birds and other species that are commonly found at this time of the year. Identify at least 10 out of 16 of the listed species using the iNaturalist app and you will receive a free badge, designed by the Bruce Trail Conservancy Youth Council.
Scavenger hunt runs April 1 through May 31, 2024.

How to track your observations

Use the free iNaturalist app on your smartphone to take photos, or make sound recordings of species you find. In particular, look and listen for the species in the scavenger hunt list below.

Your observations can be made anywhere, but if any of the species are found while you’re exploring the Bruce Trail, they can be added to the Bruce Trail Conservancy’s iNaturalist project. By adding observations to our project, you will be providing important biodiversity data to support the conservation work of the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
