Help us act now to preserve and conserve:
Lower Valley Road Nature Reserve
Update: May 13 Thank you to all those who have contributed so far. With a $200,000 commitment already made by our donors, the BTC still needs an additional $156,000 to ensure this land remains forever natural and accessible via the Bruce Trail.
Take a virtual tour of the species and habitats your donation will help to conserve
Lower Valley Road Nature Reserve is a rugged and scenic stretch of land boasting a naturalizing orchard meadow, a rich, thriving wetland that feeds the Boyne River, high hog's back side-slopes and, most notably, a beautiful and extensive maturing hardwood forest. Water is everywhere, trickling through the woods as it makes it way down to the wetland and streams below.
Securing land as beautiful and critical as Lower Valley Road Nature Reserve is not an everyday occurrence, we need to act now to ensure it is added to the safety of Bruce Trail's Conservation Corridor.
Your entire donation will be allocated to preserving and conserving more Escarpment land, and supporting the associated programs to manage these lands and carry out other mission-based programs. Should the BTC not be able to secure this property, your donation will be used to secure other sensitive lands within the BTC conservation corridor.
Each dollar has a meaningful and lasting impact on the preservation of our precious Niagara Escarpment landscape.
