Thank you to everyone who contributed to the
preservation of Cedar Highlands.

This stunning 42 acres of natural landscape in the Hockley Valley is a treasure the BTC is delighted to have secured with the help of our donors.  All the funds required to secure and steward this property in perpetuity have been raised.

Technical issues regarding the severance of Cedar Highlands are currently being addressed and we expect the land to be in the care of the Bruce Trail Conservancy by December 2013.

The Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club is working on new and improved Bruce Trail routes for this beautiful part of the Bruce Trail.

Special thanks to:

  • Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club
  • Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club
  • Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club
  • Harmony Whole Foods Market
  • Toronto Bruce Trail Club
  • Wednesday Hikers
  • ...and the hundreds of individual donors who supported this campaign.

OPEN HOUSE SUCCESS (April 21, 2013):

Cedar Highlands Open House Event

Thank you to the hundreds of people that came out on a glorious spring day to hike and explore this beautiful Hockley Valley property. Support at the event was overwhelming, with over $10,000 raised to help protect Cedar Highlands as part of the Bruce Trail Conservancy's conservation corridor.

Thank you to all who came out, and to all who have donated to this important campaign.

Missed the event? Check out some of the photos on the Facebook page of the Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club.

Cedar Highlands is part of the BTC's

50th Anniversary Milestones Project - an ambitious conservation initiative.

Over the next five years the BTC will permanently secure and preserve 5,000 acres of Niagara Escarpment land, provide for their stewardship and rehabilitation, and ensure trails on these lands are of the highest ecological and recreational standard.

What makes Cedar Highlands special?

Perched on the southern slopes of the Hockley Valley is a 42 acre oasis of steep ravines, broad paths, sweeping views and towering trees.

A former ski club, Cedar Highlands was enjoyed for decades by people seeking adventure in the beautiful Hockley Valley.

Now we have the opportunity to secure 42 acres immediately adjacent to the ski hills so that people can continue to enjoy this part of the stunning Hockley Valley for all time.
