February 14, 2022 UPDATE

In keeping with Ontario's latest COVID-19 public health measures, the Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC) has made the following changes to our programs and operations:

Office & Store:

  • The BTC Office & Store is open with a limit of two customers/visitors at a time. Masks are required.
  • Curbside pickup is available.
  • Most BTC staff are working remotely and continue to be available by phone and email.

Hike Program:

Organized hikes are currently limited to 25 people.

Capacity limits for hikes will be removed on Feb. 17, 2022 barring any changes to provincial restrictions and guidelines. (Note: capacity limits will still be in place for all bus hikes)

Registration is required for all hikes. Some hikes may be for BTC members only while others are open to the public. Find details on the Hiking Program >

Hiking guidelines for personal hiking remain:

  • Plan ahead (check for Trail Changes or Reservation requirements)
  • Be prepared for winter hiking and for the inaccessibility of some rural roads or roadside parking.
  • Expect no facilities: Toilets and garbage bins may be unavailable. Plan accordingly.
  • Practice physical distancing
  • Leave no trace

Currently, the following Clubs have resumed their Trail Angel service:

Please check the Club’s website for more information. Please note that masks and open windows/good ventilation are mandatory for all Trail Angel rides. It is recommended that passengers ride in the backseat.
