DATES & LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED
Join Bruce Trail Conservancy CEO Beth Gilhespy for a series of presentations highlighting the science of the ground beneath our feet at three unique Canadian destinations.
In these talks, Beth combines her background in geology and her enthusiasm for all things petrified, with her love of the natural world and the need for its protection. Perfect for a little armchair travelling this winter.
Beth will share her experiences on Adventure Canada's Newfoundland Circumnavigation expedition cruise and explore the unexpected ways the "Rock" and the Niagara Escarpment relate.
Beth will take us on a visual exploration of her adventures in Yoho and Kootenay, showing the finds at historic and recent fossil sites and giving us a glimpse of busy Burgess Shale life a half a billion years ago.
Beth will provide a comprehensive and entertaining overview of the Niagara Escarpment's geology, including slides of the beautiful Escarpment landscape, samples of the different rock strata, and stories of her geology hike* adventures.
Dates and locations to be announced. Admission by donation.
*Our popular Geology Hike series on the Bruce Trail will not take place this fall, but we look forward to offering it again in the spring of 2019.
