The Bruce Trail Conservancy and the Jeju Olle Foundation of South Korea have twinned together to create a new Friendship Trail.
The piece of the Bruce Trail in the Hockley Valley is twinned with Route 2 of the Jeju Olle Trail, South Korea, as a mark of friendship and international cooperation between our two countries and our two trails. The Friendship Trail is now open for everyone to enjoy and is located in the Hockley Valley in the Caledon Hills Club section. For more information, please contact Jackie Randle at jrandle@brucetrail.org
The friendship trail consists of the Tom East side trail and the Glen Cross side trail as well as the main Bruce Trail in the Hockley Valley. The entire friendship trail is 9.6 kilometers. Follow the blue side trail blazes and the white main Trail blazes to loop back to the starting point.
The Jeju Olle walking trail is located on the beautiful island of Jeju, South Korea. Jeju Island is located 130 kilometers south of the Korean Peninsula. It is a large volcanic island, almost sub-tropical in climate, with incredible scenery from the coastline through orange groves crisscrossed by distinctive stone walls and up to the peak of an inactive volcano. The Jeju Olle is the most popular walking trail in Korea, and provides over 200km of pathways, and plans are underway to extend the trail to encircle the entire island in the coming years.
