New Partnership with SAIL

The Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC) is pleased to welcome SAIL as a new corporate sponsor.

SAIL, "the Outdoors Superstore", was founded more than 40 years ago and is managed from its head office in Laval, Quebec. SAIL stores can be found in Beloeil, Brossard, Burlington, Etobicoke, Laval, Oshawa, Ottawa, Quebec City and Vaughan.

SAIL offers the largest choice of brand name products at incredibly competitive prices. Each store is a veritable showroom with fully assembled models of tents, boats (kayaks, canoes), thousands of fishing rods, 500 models of boots and footwear and a huge clothing section. SAIL focuses on filling their stores with knowledgeable staff, ready to help with all your outdoor recreation questions and product information.

SAIL appreciates the recreational value of the Bruce Trail and the important land conservation efforts of the Bruce Trail Conservancy. SAIL is helping the Bruce Trail Conservancy Share the Bruce Trail in 2013. Over the course of this 50th Anniversary Milestone year, which features events that Share the Bruce Trail, SAIL will contribute over $7,500 in cash and merchandise. All SAIL's contributions will be geared towards initiatives that encourage people to become Bruce Trail members or to thank our current members for their support.

SAIL will be adding a major highlight to the BTC's Annual General Meeting.  At the BTC AGM this year, one lucky BTC member will win a $3,000 prize pack from SAIL! This free raffle is open to all members in good standing at the time of the 2013 AGM. The draw will take place on Saturday September 21, 2013 during the evening program. This free raffle is our way of thanking all our loyal BTC members for their continued support.

Beth (Kümmling) Gilhespy, BTC Executive Director, said: "We are excited to welcome SAIL to the BTC family. Their support gives us a new way to celebrate and thank our wonderful Bruce Trail members. Our members represent a unique community of supporters that understand the importance of a secure Bruce Trail Conservation Corridor from a recreational and conservation standpoint. We thank SAIL for supporting this celebration of our members."

"SAIL is very excited about this new partnership with The Bruce Trail Conservancy. We felt it was a perfect fit for all Bruce Trail members and SAIL's customers who are all very passionate about the great outdoors" commented Veronica Grimaldi, SAIL's Marketing Project Manager.
