Featured Hike: Osler Bluff Lookout - Blue Mountains Club

Feature:
Highest Point on the Bruce Trail and a beautiful Osler Bluff Lookout in Pretty River Valley Provincial Park.
Directions and Parking:
- From Collingwood take 6th street west to Osler Bluffs Rd.
- Go south to Grey Rd 19.
- Follow Grey Rd. 19 to 2nd Line and turn left.
- Follow the road south for approximately 2 km and park at intersection of 6th (Gibraltar) Sideroad and 2nd Line. (Note that 2nd Line is not open in the winter: you will have to access Gibraltar Sideroad from Banks)
Hike Directions:
- Follow the blue-blazed John Haigh Side Trail into Pretty River Valley Provincial Nature Reserve. You will soon pass the highest point on the Bruce Trail (540 metres) and reach the main Bruce Trail (marked with white blazes).
- Follow the main trail east along a high ridge, passing the intersection with the Russ McConnell Side Trail to reach the Osler Bluff Lookout.
- From here, follow the Trail out to 6th (Gibraltar) road allowance where the trail makes a hard left turn to the west.
- Follow the road allowance until you meet the other end of the Russ McConnell Side Trail. Follow this trail south to rejoin your route in at the Bruce Trail.
- Turn right and retrace your steps to 2nd Line road allowance along the Osler Side Trail.
